Puja holidays are finally here and I have an entire week off from college. If you think its all R&R though, you're wrong. Selection exams are around the corner and I have to start gearing up in preparation. This previous week, I have been especially aware of my personality (perhaps owing to being constantly surrounded by people whose dull personalities bore me half to death). I took the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and I scored as an INTJ. Here is a rough breakdown of this particular personality type:
Introversion - We usually don't like to be around too many people. Social gatherings and civilities not only bore us, they seem trivial and reeks of pretentiousness. No, we like our personal space, our time alone. Personal space is almost a territory that we get extremely defensive over.
iNtuition - We tend to generalize things. Details are of little matter in comparison to the big picture. As such, we are pretty good at ideas and theories that may or may not have practical value.
Thinking - Simply put, we value logic and reason above emotions. We see feelings as a weakness in many cases, especially the ones where important decisions need to be made. This also makes us very straightforward people, often saying things so directly that it borders on the offensive.
Judging - We like to plan ahead of time and are very conservative with the number of risks we are willing to take. Patterns and coherence is of the utmost importance, which is why we tend to be fascinated with science and the arts.This test provides an extremely accurate view of my personality and how I function as an individual. I remember taking the MBTI a few months ago, and having undergone a lot of changes a while ago, I decided to take it again just to see whether my results changed. They didn't. Its actually quite an honor to be an INTJ, considering we make up less than half a percent of the human population. Appropriately dubbed "The Scientist," this INTJ personality type has shown up numerous times in some of the greatest minds that ever walked the Earth.
