So far, 2013 has been really busy. For some reason or the other I keep having to go out and redo a lot of tasks. What's worse is that I am always tired these days. All I want to do is sleep and eat.
I finally received my copies of Origin of Species and The Great Gatsby, but Les Miserables has yet to even ship! Horrible, horrible customer service on the part of the online retailer, but it was the holiday season and I do understand that it's a busier time of the year for shipments.
I tried to start studying, and got only as far as the Consignment Accounts topic in Accountancy. It's like I don't even want to look at college books right now.
My nephew's first birthday is coming up and today I had to work myself to exhaustion helping my family decorate the house and making preparations. The horrifying part is that it's only the beginning. The actual birthday is in two days. Thankfully, I have some Vodka stored up to help ease my nerves.
Had a little problem with my internet connection and so I went to the local service center to have the problem fixed. Even though I had to make a double trip to the place because the vendor mixed up my SIM card, I was able to re-establish my connection.
As I was coming home though, I saw this little cat lying dead on the street. From what I could tell, there were no wounds. My guess is it was strangled to death by some piece of shit. It makes me worry for Pretty Girl, but she is a smart and strong cat so I'm sure she will be fine. Speaking of cats, the Grey Cat (yes that is his name for now) seems to be getting more comfortable in our house. Not only does he poke his head in and spray the curtains, he also curls up in front of the heater (much to the chagrin of Pretty Girl) and sleeps there for hours.
All in all, it looks like 2013 is shaping up to be a hectic but good year.
