Last Day of Classes

It's finally the end! No, I am not talking about the upcoming doomsday. I am referring to my first year in college. Today we finally wrapped up everything in class, and if all goes well during the finals, I should be able to start my second year within a few months.

Right now I'm reading Hamlet on my computer. I would have preferred to read an actual book but I can't afford one at the moment so...c'est la vie. And I would have been able to read more this morning had I not been forced to stay back 3 hours after class in anticipation of a mysterious meeting. Turns out it was a "safety" awareness function being conducted by the local police. Needless to say, I was not happy. My sentiments were shared by other students, who, when opportunity presented itself, fled the hall. Some of them probably had genuine reason to run away from the cops. I was not going to be left behind, so I left with them; barely escaping whatever awful event they had in store for us. It was a tactical operation, and I managed to pull it off successfully.

Maybe all those hours of reading Naruto paid off after all.

I also visited the local NIIT center to inquire about the courses they offer. I figured a certification in computing would serve well in the long run. The courses are actually kind of pricey, but because they are being sponsored by the government, the fees have been drastically reduced - all the more reason to attend.

All in all, it was a pretty good day; and an eventful one to mark the end of classes for the year.

Au Revoir, classroom!
