During my exams, I decided to leave my Lumia 710 at home and carry my sister's cheaper phone to college instead. There was this weird protocol where they took the phones of students to prevent cheating with the agreement that we could collect them at the end of the day. Now my exams ended at 12pm and I had to wait an excruciating 4 hours to collect the phone. Fast forwarding to the allotted time, my phone was missing. They took my phone and lost it. And when my sister came to complain the next day, their excuse was that students brought phones to college at their own risk. This, people, is one of many reasons I despise my college, and why I will not foster some deluded sense of college spirit as others do.
Anyway, I promised my sister that I would get her a new phone. Today was the last day of exams, and we did just that. Of course, I stopped by The Wok - a local Chinese restaurant - to mark this glorious event first. Here are some pictures:

The phone I got for her was a
Nokia Asha 311. Not a great phone - but for Rs. 6500 it has gorilla glass, a capacitative touchscreen and a 1GHz processor, definitely a bargain if ever there was one.
